Walk/Run For Your Life

Join us Wednesday, July 11th at 6:30pm for the Act Natural Health & Wellness’ Walk/Run For Your Life and Food is Mood Pot Luck in support of World Benzodiazepine Awareness Day.

July 11th 2018 is the third year of the World Benzodiazepine Awareness Day (W-BAD). W-BAD is a grassroots victim-organized campaign that seeks to raise global awareness about the harms and dangers of prescribed benzodiazepines. Visit their official website at http://w-bad.org

Holly Hardman, Director of the documentary film “As Prescribed” will bring in her crew to film on the day of the event. Holly is a benzo survivor sharing not only her story, but the story of millions of families around the world.

Information about the dangers of benzodiazepines will be distributed at the event.  Some objectives of our event include:

  • Education and awareness
  • Providing victims a sense of purpose
  • Validating the damage sustained by sufferers
  • Acknowledging a medication-induced health condition
  • Building a sense of camaraderie so sufferers, supporters and their loved ones do not feel alone

World Benzodiazepine Awareness Day aims to highlight the plight of all patients worldwide who have become prescribed-drug dependents through no fault of their own, who are denied right of access to dedicated withdrawal clinics and aftercare, who are left to struggle off these drugs without support.” —Barry Haslam, Chair of W-BAD
